Invest Cyprus (CIPA) is the Investment Authority of the Government of Cyprus and has a threefold mandate: promoting Cyprus as an attractive investment location, facilitating and advocating for foreign investments, and continuously enhancing the investment environment. We are seeking a highly capable and motivated Investment Promotion Officer to join our dynamic team based in Nicosia.
As Investment Promotion Officer, you will play a pivotal role in attracting and facilitating foreign direct investment into Cyprus. Your responsibilities will encompass the threefold mandate of our organization, which includes investment promotion, investor facilitation, and aftercare services.
Main Job Responsibilities
The Investment Promotion Officer will:
- Identify, evaluate, and promote specific investment opportunities across various sectors to attract potential foreign investors.
- Conduct market research and analysis to identify target markets and key investors.
- Develop comprehensive investment promotion strategies and campaigns to showcase Cyprus as an attractive investment destination.
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to organize investment seminars, roadshows, and other promotional events.
- Represent Invest Cyprus at international conferences and exhibitions to raise awareness and attract investment interest.
- Provide guidance and support to potential investors throughout the investment process.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for investors, addressing their inquiries, providing information, and facilitating necessary procedures.
- Liaise with relevant government departments and agencies to expedite investment approvals and ensure a smooth investment process.
- Coordinate site visits and meetings for potential investors, showcasing Cyprus' business environment and investment potential.
- Provide post-investment support and assistance to existing foreign investors.
- Act as a trusted advisor, maintaining regular communication with investors to address their concerns and facilitate their business operations in Cyprus.
- Coordinate with relevant stakeholders to resolve any investment-related issues and ensure investor satisfaction.
- Identify opportunities for expansion, reinvestment, or diversification for existing investors.
- Analyze investment trends, economic indicators, and market developments to identify emerging opportunities and risks.
- Prepare regular reports and presentations on investment activities, including investment leads, prospects, and outcomes.
- Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of investment promotion initiatives and make recommendations for improvements.
- Perform any other related duties as assigned by the CEO and the Deputy General Director, contributing to the overall success of the organization.
Specifications
1. Job Specifications (key qualifications and experience of the job incumbent):
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing or a related field (Master's degree preferred).
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in investment promotion, business development, or related fields, preferably in an investment agency, economic development organization, or similar environment.
- Proven track record in attracting foreign direct investment and facilitating investment projects.
- Strong understanding of investment and business environments, both locally and globally.
- Excellent knowledge of investment promotion techniques, marketing strategies, and international investment trends.
- Proficiency in Greek and English (both written and spoken).
- Proficient in using MS Office (MS Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook, Teams).
- Familiarity with investment-related regulations, procedures, and incentives.
