Το 2019 ήταν σίγουρα η χρονιά της, απλά τα Grammys ήρθαν να το επισφραγίσουν. Ο λόγος για τη Billie Eilish που κέρδισε πέντε βραβεία (από τα 6 που ήταν υποψήφια) συμπεριλαμβανομένων του ''Ηχογράφηση της Χρονιάς'', ''Album της Χρονιάς'' και ''Τραγούδι της Χρονιάς'' για το παγκόσμιο χιτ ''Bad Guy'' και το ντεμπούτο της ''When We All Fall Asleep Where Do We Go''. Η Lizzo, που είχε τις περισσότερες υποψηφιότητες (οχτώ), με την Eilish και τον Lil Nas X να ακολουθούν με έξι.

H Alicia Keys ήταν για δεύτερη χρονιά οικοδέσποινα της απονομής, ενώ ανάμεσα στους νικητές ήταν η Beyoncé για το φιλμ ''Homecoming'' με την εμφάνισή της στο Coachella που προβλήθηκε στο Netflix αλλά και η Michelle Obama με το audio book του βιβλίου ''Becoming''.
